Setting your air conditioner a few degrees lower than necessary forces it to work harder for longer. In general, each degree you raise the set point during cooling can reduce energy use noticeably. For most people, 24 to 26°C feels comfortable when combined with gentle air movement.
There is no need to cool an empty room all day. Use the timer or a smart thermostat schedule to start cooling shortly before you arrive home and switch off after you fall asleep. Inverter systems are efficient at reaching temperature quickly, so short pre-cooling is enough.
A ceiling or pedestal fan creates a wind-chill effect that makes a room feel cooler without lowering the actual temperature. Running a fan alongside the air conditioner lets you raise the set point while staying comfortable.
Dry mode reduces humidity with less cooling, which is ideal on muggy but mild days. Eco or sleep modes gradually adjust the temperature overnight. Avoid turbo mode for long periods — it is designed for quick cool-downs, not continuous use.
Even perfect settings cannot overcome a dirty filter or coil. Regular cleaning and servicing ensure the thermostat settings you choose translate into efficient, real-world performance.
